New Life Mwangaza Rehabilitation Centre (NLMRC) is a Transition center for street connected boys and youth located at Katani in Machakos County. It was established in 2008 with the support of Sisters of Mercy and other partners to address the problem of many street-connected children that were affected by the problem of drug and substance abuse. NLMRC implements a residential rehabilitation and aftercare program that is aimed at rescuing, rehabilitating, reintegrating and empowering street-connected boys and youth within the age bracket of 14- 18 years. The organization collaborates with government, families and communities to prevent children and youth from living and working on the streets and to ensure they lead self-reliant and drug-free lives.
NLMRC’s vision is to prevent children and youth from living and working on the streets and rescue, rehabilitate & reintegrate street-connected children & youth.
